First Vice-Speaker, Chairman of the Temporary Parliamentary Commission on Restoration of Territorial Integrity and De-occupation, Giorgi Volski met with the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia, Marek Schigel.

The parties discussed the security situation at the occupation line. G. Volski also briefed the Head of the EUMM on the work plans of the Temporary Commission.

"It was noted at the meeting that there are certain issues that need special attention and in addition to security issues, it is time to start talking about the implementation of possible economic projects. It was also mentioned that the occupation regime poses serious risks for this positive development. However, the relations between the peoples, despite this difficult period and wars, still give grounds to think that in the future societies will find a common language", - G. Volski commented after the meeting.
