Gurjaani Municipality hosted the first Conference of Winemakers

On May 18, Hotel “Ambassador” in the village Kachreti, Gurjaani Municipality held the first Conference of Winemakers, initiated by Gurjaani Single Mandate MP, David Songulashvili, organized by Gurjaani Municipality and supported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, National Intellectual Property Center and the LEPL National Wine Agency.
The Conference was dedicated to the “Challenges in the Winemaking Sector and Solutions” widely discussed by the representatives of the LEPL National Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, National Intellectual Property Center, LEPL National Wine Agency, LEPL National Food Agency and the Environmental Ministry.
The initiator, D. Songulashvili, the Deputy Environmental Minister Solomon Pavliashvili, MP Gela Samkharauli and the State Trustee to Kakheti Region Irakli Kadagishvili opened the Conference.
“I am glad to host you at this meeting. It is the first Conference of Winemakers in the Municipality of viticulture and winemaking and I hope that it will become a tradition. People shall be better informed about such issues, which conditions success of every winemaker and viticulturist, so we will always stand by you to support such projects. I would like to thank the Ministry of Environmental Protection, National Wine Agency and the Intellectual Property Center for constant support”, - D. Songulashvili stated.
The Conference was attended by the winemakers from Georgia, the students of the agrarian faculties, and the representatives of the executive, legislative and local authorities.
The certificates have been delivered to the participants.
