The meeting of Irakli Kadagishvili with the Ambassador of Ukraine

The Chair of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, Irakli Kadagishvili held the meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine, H.E. Ihor Dolhov to discuss the new reality in the Parliament after the Government and the opposition signed the document offered by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the Bill on Amnesty concerning the cases of June 19-21, 2019.

“We discussed the new reality in the Parliament formed after the signing of the agreement offered by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, resulting in the decision of the opposition to enter the Parliament. I informed the diplomat about the political groups in the Parliament and touched upon the processes concerning the Bill on Amnesty. I provided the Ambassador with the reason for the resignation of the Speaker. As the diplomat noted, he was pleased to cooperate with Mr. Talakvadze and will gladly cooperate with the new Speaker, Kakha Kutchava”, - I. Kadagishvili noted.

According to him, speaking about the agreement signed by the Government and the opposition, the Ambassador stated that all the parties shall strive to fulfill the document mediated by the EU as it serves the best interests of Georgia.

The parties discussed the bilateral relations between the countries.

“Naturally, we touched upon our relations with Ukraine and noted that the relations were and will be close and constructive”, - I. Kadagishvili added.
