The Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze held the introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Akira IMAMURA to discuss the trade-economic relations and inter-Parliamentary cooperation.

According to I. Kovzanadze, Georgia and Japan enjoy dynamically positive relations for years covering all spheres of cooperation.

He recalled his visit to Japan in 2013: “We were met by the JICA and the Japanese Association of the Trade with newly independent countries. This meeting facilitated the intensification of the interest of Japanese business companies in Georgia and attraction of Japanese investments”.

After the meeting. I. Kovzanadze thanked the Ambassador for the financial and technical support provided by the Japanese Government to Georgia in countering the pandemic.
