Irine Pruidze introducing the Parliamentary experience on Code of Conduct to the participants of the panel “Enhancement of Parliaments by means of Integrity”
The Parliament hosted the panel within the Regional Conference organized by the OSCE/ODIHR to discuss development of the Parliamentary integrity mechanisms on the national level and respective steps and reforms.
The Member of Georgian Parliament, Irine Pruidze introduced the Parliamentary experience on Code of Conduct and spoke about development and adoption of the Code.
She spoke about the principles of the Code, conduct rules, including acceptance of the gifts or exercising the lobbyist activity by MPs. She emphasized the monitoring on violation of the Code and Code enforcement mechanism – activity of the Council of Ethics.
“I introduced the experience of Georgian Parliament to the attendees expressing interest to establish similar instruments in their Parliaments”, - I. Pruidze commented to media.
The panel was attended by MP Guguli Magradze, Parliamentarians from the EaP member states and Central Asia, civil society, representatives of OSCE/ODIHR and international organizations.
