The Speaker, Kakha Kutchava held the online meeting with his Swedish counterpart, Andreas Norlén.

Mr. Norlén congratulated Mr. Kutchava on the election and wished good luck to him personally and the Parliament in general.

The parties touched upon the political developments.

The Speaker stressed the implementation of the document mediated by Charles Michel and the formation of a new political culture in the country based on consensus and cooperation.

The parties emphasized the application to be made by Georgia for the EU membership in 2024 and underlined the relations between the parties.

The particular emphasis was made on the cooperation in the environmental direction and discussed the EUAA and the ambitious reforms. Mr. Norlén pledged to provide Mr. Kutchava with his assistance and support.

The parties dwelt on the Friendship Groups and close cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Speaker, Levan Ioseliani and the Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Maka Bochorishvili.
