The Culture Committee and the Interim Commission on Restoration of Territorial Integrity and De-occupation heard the report on the Cultural Heritage Monuments

The Culture Committee and the Interim Commission on Restoration of Territorial Integrity and De-occupation heard the information about the state of the monuments of the cultural heritage, introduced by the representatives of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation, David Lomitashvili and Salome Meladze.
According to the Chair of the Culture Committee, Eliso Bolkvadze, cultural heritage is always a relevant issue and requires the enactment of all international legal leverages to preserve the cultural monuments in a grave condition.
“We heard and discussed information by the Agency. The sitting was also attended by the representatives of the Foreign Ministry. We heard the positions and discussed the necessity of unification of our political and intellectual resources to improve the state of Georgian historical or religious monuments on the occupied territories”, - the First Vice-Speaker, Chair of the Commission, Giorgi Volski stated.
