The Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Maia Bitadze held the meeting with the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Akira Imamura.

“I introduced the plans and priorities of the Committee, including the green economy and promotion of environmental protection in the cities. We also discussed the directions of the potential cooperation, especially in terms of energy efficiency and separation, as well as the main directions concerning the environmental protection and natural resources deriving from the Associate Agreement”, - M. Bitadze stated.

The parties touched upon the legal changes that may be introduced to create an encouraging mechanism for the establishment of the sustainable and effective waste recycling practice and facilitation of the best environmental technologies in the industry.
