Mamuka Mdinaradze: the opposition shall give the answer to the question – are the signatures of more than 11 000 of their members in the Commission fraud or these people were bribed to re-sign the electoral documents

Mamuka Mdinaradze: the opposition shall give the answer to the question – are the signatures of more than 11 000 of their members in the Commission fraud or these people were bribed to re-sign the electoral documents
The Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream”, Mamuka Mdinaradze held the briefing regarding the Resolution on Set-up of the Interim Fact-Finding Commission on the Parliamentary Elections of October 31, 2020.

“Yesterday, the Parliament registered the Resolution on Set-up of the Interim Fact-Finding Commission on the Parliamentary Elections of October 31, 2020. The condition remains valid that in case of the detection of even 1% of fraud in favor of the “Georgian Dream” as a result of the investigation, we will hold the by-elections. The only argument given in a fragmented manner by the opposition in response for all this time is the version deprived of a reasonable basis, according to which it is too late as the documents are already corrected etc. It is impossible to demand an explanation for this argument from them. The opposition shall answer the question – what could happen even theoretically to make their speculations equal to the truth. The signature of more than 11000 opposition members in the Commission was fraud or these people were bribed or intimidated to re-sign the electoral documents. Or there can be another version to substantiate their absurd arguments. Naturally, we will answer these arguments as well. Today, we expect their answer to this main question, though we also call on the opposition to abstain from insulting Georgian society by their false narratives. If they have a single argument left to justify their false narrative that the elections were fraud, I can offer them to submit these arguments to the Commission or apologize to the society as the people and first of all their electors were cruelly deceived by the opposition. The main part of the population does no longer believe in their false narratives as they clearly see the truth between us and the opposition”, - he stated.

According to him, the simultaneous calculations gave the same results as of the CEC.

“When we have already corrected and they recognized their “mistake” (it is my subjective opinion that they recognized their lies), the simultaneous calculations of votes coincide with the CEC results. So, there are no questions left”, - he added.
