Meeting of Kakhaber Kutchava with UK Ambassador to Georgia, Mark Clayton

Vice-Speaker Kakhaber Kutchava held the introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom, Mark Clayton to review the Parliamentary ties between the two countries and dwell upon the future priorities of the cooperation.
According to K. Kuchava, it is interesting for the Georgian side to get acquainted with and share the activities of the British Parliament, and in this process the role of programs and projects organized by the Westminster Democratic Foundation (WFD) is particularly noteworthy.
The parties also touched upon the Constitutional and Electoral changes adopted by the Parliament of Georgia based on the OSCE / ODIHR recommendations and noted that these changes are crucial for the country's further democratic development.
The Ambassador expressed his commitment to actively communicate with the Parliament of Georgia and uphold deepening cooperation between the countries. As he also stressed, the UK continues to support Georgia's EU and NATO aspirations and hails the changes introduced by the Georgian Parliament.
