Nino Tsilosani: In 2021, the Committee and the Ministry will work with a mutually contrived action plan

The Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee, and members of the Committee held a working meeting with Minister of Environment and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili and his deputies on the 2021 Action Plan.
The main purpose of the meeting was to create a precondition for the Parliamentary Committee and the Ministry to coordinate work for the development of the agricultural sector, as well as to determine the priorities that legislators and representatives of the executive branch will work on in 2021.
Nino Tsilosani informed the representatives of the Ministry about the action plan of the Committee, which envisages the activities to be carried out by the Committee in the direction of both legislative and oversight activities.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on specific issues that the Committee and the Ministry will work together. The challenges and priorities that will be particularly emphasized in 2021 have been identified. This applies to food security, strengthening farms, establishing a food bank, as well as projects such as agro-region, development of organic farms, etc.
