The Agrarian Issues Committee held the working meeting within the thematic inquiry on “Participation of Women in State Economic Programs” and the report on recommendations.

The Chair of the Committee, Nino Tsilosani commented to the media that the greater part of the recommendations has been fulfilled: “The participation of women in the state economic programs also covers the participation of women in the agricultural programs. Today, we have ensured the monitoring of the fulfillment of these recommendations. The greater part of the recommendations has been fulfilled to our pride. However, the more conceptual and contextual part of them is still pending. At that, we are aware of the activities of the Ministries in terms of fulfillment of the recommendations and we expect the higher index of participation of women in the agricultural sphere in 2021 at the account of the fulfillment of recommendations”.

The parties also discussed the recommendations of the gender audit held in two institutions – “Produce in Georgia”, and RDA.

“I believe, this meeting was very productive in terms of strengthening of women”, - she added.
