The MPs beyond Majority assembled today to elect the Member of the Prosecutor’s Council.

As the chair of the sitting, Minority Leader, David Bakradze stated, the MPs beyond Majority have the quote not used yet on the basis of their decision. We have the reality entailing change of their position – it is related to the developments related to the Patriarchate and generally political and legal processes: “correspondingly, we made the decision to realize our right and use our quote to the PC.

Our common representative to the PC will have the task and mission – to raise the issue of responsibility of the Prosecutor General”. As the member of the PC shall be selected by the majority of MPs beyond Majority, all respective MPs were informed about the meeting. The meeting was attended by the members of the Minority and the Faction National Movement.

With open ballot and simultaneously with 20 votes, Otar Kakhidze was elected as the Member of the Prosecutor’s Council.
