The meeting of Kakhaber Kutchava with the Head of the CoE Georgia Office

The Vice-Speaker, Kakhaber Kutchava held the introductory meeting with the Head of CoE Georgia Office, Natalia Voutova.

The parties discussed the Georgia-CoE close cooperation and scheduled projects, Parliamentary engagement in these processes, as well as the plans of the Parliamentary Delegation to PACE. Mme. Voutova expressed commitment for active cooperation within the scheduled projects.

“At the meeting, we discussed the projects scheduled within the CoE action plan and the effective engagement of the Parliament in this process. The Parliament supports the realization of these projects to successfully achieve the outlined goals. We also discussed the plans of our Delegation to PACE and the petitions of the Delegation members for the respective thematic resolutions. The priority directions and the processes in the country constitute a significant component of the European agenda and will always do. I thanked the new Head of the CoE Office for the activity of the organization and active cooperation, which facilitates our further approximation to the EU and NATO structures”, - K. Kutchava noted.

The parties touched upon the intention of Georgia to apply for EU membership in 2024.

“At the meeting, we underlined that Georgia remains loyal to its European choice and strives to submit our official application for EU membership in 2024”, - he added.
