The Chairman of the parliamentary committee on Human Rights and Civil Integration Lasha Tordia and first deputy chairperson of the committee Ekaterine Kherkheulidze paid a regular working visit to the medical treatment institutions of the accused and the convicted.
In the frame of the visit the Members of the Parliament of Georgia studied the issues of the existing infrastructure, equipment of the medical institutions, peculiarity of the work of the units, documents circulation, quality of the provided service and other medical services.
The MPs also visited the patients of these institutions.
It should be noted that licensing of the medical treatment institutions of the accused and the convicted took place this year and any patient can receive various types of high quality medical services there.
The basic priority of the health care reform in the penitentiary institutions is its equalization with the health care services in the civil sector and improvement of quality of health care service.
