The meeting of Giorgi Volski with Helene Sand Andresen

The First Vice-Speaker, Giorgi Volski held the meeting with the Ambassador of Norway, H.E. Helene Sand Andresen to discuss the domestic and foreign policy.
The parties stressed the occupation problem, the current situation and the Russian policy in Caucasus region, as well as touched upon the pandemic situation on a global level.
The Ambassador gave a high assessment to the pandemic preventive measures undertaken by the Government of Georgia.
The parties dwelt on the upcoming elections. The diplomat expressed her consent about the Constitutional changes and the modified electoral system hoping that the forthcoming Parliamentary Elections will be held at a high level and according to the standards of the international democracies, which indeed is characteristic for Georgia.
The parties agreed on further cooperation.
“Mme. Sand Andersen is a first Ambassador of Norway with the Residence in Georgia and is aspired to see to the development of relations with the various agencies, including the Parliament. We agreed on further intensive cooperation. As she noted, they attach particular attention to the human rights and the reforms in the judicial system”, - G. Volski noted.
