The Deputy Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Revaz Arveladze met with the Deputy Energy Minister of Lithuania, Lina Sabaitienė to discuss the new technologies in energy sphere and renewable energy sources.

As noted, Georgia and Lithuania after dissolution of Soviet Union encounter similar energy problems.

Mme. Sabaitienė dwelt on the projects Lithuania upheld for elimination of energy problems and expressed commitment to share experience to Georgia. The visit of Mme. Sabaitienė to Georgia aims at installment of the solar panels in one of the IDP settlements.

The parties agreed on uninterrupted partnership cooperation between the two countries in energy sphere.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Lithuania, H.E. Giedrius Puodžiūnas and the Deputy Head of Mission, Sarune Kubiliute.
