The meeting of the Vice-Speaker, Zviad Dzidziguri with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Georgia

Zviad Dzidziguri held the farewell meeting with the Ambassador Yue Bin. The parties spoke about bilateral relations and active participation of Georgia in Silk Road initiative.
Zviad Dzidziguri thanked the Ambassador for successful activity in Georgia and hoped that bilateral relations will remain intensive after the new Ambassador assumes office. After the meeting, Zviad Dzidziguri stated that the diplomatic activity of Y. Bin in Georgia was a very important period for China-Georgia relations.
“During this period it was decided that Georgia is one of the main participant countries of Silk Road. First of all, we expect a significant economic benefit as this project implies total infrastructural arrangement from Central Asia through Europe and in this direction Georgia becomes a most active actor. The cargo circulation obtains significant load between China and EU states and Georgia will be the main medium. At that, Chinese companies express interest in construction of Anaklia port purposed to pass 100 ml tons of cargo. Interest of China is very important as the ports will be loaded and it means extra income for the country. Free trade between China and Georgia is also an important issue which means free trade between the second economics of the world and us. China has free trade regime with two countries only – Island and Switzerland, Georgia will be the third. Y. Bin was an active participant of all these projects and I thanked him for his activity”.
