The Parliamentary Delegation participating in the sitting of the EuroNest PA Committees in Brussels
On January 28-29, the European Parliament hosts the EuroNest PA Committees on Political Affairs, on Energy Security, on Economic Integration and Social Protection. The Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia headed by the First Deputy Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Irina Pruidze attends the sessions. She is the co-author of the draft resolution on “Solidarity and Approximation in Energy Sector – for Regulation”. Besides, the debates will be held on:
- Parliamentary oversight in EaP countries in view of enhancement of democracy, accountability and efficiency of state institutions;
- Facilitation to digital broadcasting for stimulating efficiency and economic growth in EU and EaP countries;
- Innovation in education sector and education reforms in EU and EaP states: challenges and advantages.
The Parliamentary Delegation is composed of: Sergi Kapanadze, Dimitri Tskitishviliee, Beka Natsvlishvili, Giorgi Mosidze, Guguli Magradze and Salome Samadashvili.
EuroNest PA is the Parliamentary institution of EaP consisting of EP (60 members) and EaP Parliamentary Delegations (10 members per National Parliament: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) (Belarus is temporarily suspended). The Assembly facilitates to development of political links and economic integration between EU and EaP states.
