The Veterans Affairs State Service hosted the Defense and Security Committee

The members of the Defense and Security Committee visited the Veterans Affairs State Service and got cognizant of their projects and activity.

MPs heard the presentation about the development dynamics of the Service, structural order, social and economic projects and legal initiatives, as well as heard information about the initiatives aiming at the improvement of the social, legal and economic conditions of the veterans.

The parties discussed the scheduled projects that the Defense and Security Committee, within its competence, is capable to provide support.

“In the Veterans Affairs State Service we got cognizant of the activity of the Service, the ongoing projects and its needs. We discussed the further cooperation between the Service and the Parliament and overviewed the ways of improvement of the conditions for the veterans. The veterans are one of the most dignified and merited parts of our society and we confirm our total support and respect to them”, - the Chair of the Committee, Irakli Beraia stated.

The meeting was attended by the Committee members, Vice-Speaker David Sergeenko, Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee, Sozar Subari and the First Deputy Chair of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, Vladimir Kakhadze.
