Meeting of Agrarian Issues Committee with Representatives of Non-Alcoholic Beverage Manufacturing Companies

Media and Society 25 Mar 2021
Meeting of Agrarian Issues Committee with Representatives of Non-Alcoholic Beverage Manufacturing Companies

The Committee, presided by the Chair, Nino Tsilosani, met with the representatives of the non-alcoholic beverage manufacturing companies in a hybrid mode as part of the invited guests attended the session remotely.

The guests informed the legislators about the problems in their field, which to some extent hinder the further development of the production process in the country. Talks also focused on tax regimes and marking issues, export-import, production capacity growth and more.

"These companies are, in fact, one of the largest actors in the creation of gross domestic product, as well as in the development of the country's export potential, so their opinions were quite important. The issues and challenges that exist in this area and which are expected to be addressed in the short term were interesting, as they significantly hinder the growth of the production and export potential. Therefore, we will do our best so that the state responds in a timely manner to the needs of such large resource-producing industries and large business actors. The problems of small producers were also discussed, to which we will definitely have a proper reaction”, - N. Tsilosani noted.

Committee member, First Deputy Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Khatia Tsilosani, also participated in the meeting.

According to N. Tsilosani, the Committee intensively meets with representatives of all business sectors whose activities are directly related to the areas under the supervision of the Committee, and this cooperation will continue in the future.
