The meeting of the Speaker with the Ambassador of India
The Speaker, H.E. Archil Talakvadze held the meeting with the Ambassador of India (with the Residence in Yerevan), H.E. Kishan Dan Dewal.
The Speaker underlined the progress in the bilateral relations between the countries, including the political, economic, cultural and other sectors. He noted that the 10th Parliament has set up the Georgia-India Friendship Group to further facilitate inter-Parliamentary cooperation.
The Speaker dwelt on the Indian investments and expressed the commitment to, by offering the favorable investment environment, further enhancing the business relations with India.
The Speaker gave a positive assessment of the cooperation with India in the education sphere, expressed in the interest of Indian students in Georgian universities.
The Speaker welcomed the publication of the “Knight in the Panther’s Skin” in Indian and noted that he is committed to further facilitating the promotion of Georgian culture in India. He thanked the Ambassador for the chance for the Georgian population in 2017-2018 to the pilgrimage of the holy pieces of St. Ketevan.
Besides, the Speaker introduced the current processes in the country and region and informed the Ambassador about the grave situation on the occupied territories.
He thanked the Ambassador for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
