The meeting of Archil Talakvadze with the President of Armenia
The Speaker, Archil Talakvadze held the meeting with the President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian.
The Speaker underlined the good neighborhood relations counting centuries between Georgia and Armenia.
The parties noted that despite the pandemic, the land-transit forwarding and transits between the countries to return the Armenian citizens have been uninterrupted. The parties overviewed the bilateral relations, and cooperation in economic, tourism and cultural spheres.
The Speaker stressed the dynamic cooperation between the Parliaments and emphasized the particular merit of the Friendship Groups.
The parties discussed the developments in the region.
As Archil Talakvadze noted, the Karabakh war has drastically changed the existing regional geopolitical reality and underlined the importance of peace negotiations in the achievement of long-term stability.
The parties also touched upon the processes in Georgia and Armenia and expressed commitment for further cooperation.
