The Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Beka Odisharia held the meeting with the Ambassador of Lithuania, Andrius Kalindra to discuss the friendly relations within the Friendship Group format and cooperation prospects, as well as the pandemic-related challenges.
“I am glad to meet this young, though very experienced diplomat who demonstrated his warm feelings to Georgia and the Georgian people. I introduced the activities I have undertaken during my chairmanship of the Georgia-Lithuania Friendship Group in the preceding convocation, as well as cooperation aspects with his predecessor, including in the economic direction. The Ambassador manifested quite an interesting vision about the economic cooperation with Georgia. We also touched upon the pandemic-related challenges”, - B. Odisharia stated after the meeting.
The parties agreed on further cooperation.
“In the 10th term, I intend to be very active as a member of the Georgia-Lithuania Friendship Group. If the pandemic allows, we are aspired to hold joint events related to the Independence Day of Georgia with the participation of the Lithuanian culture workers. I hail their commitment to participate in the wide-scale events and I pledged my support to Mr. Ambassador in addressing the organizational issues”, - B. Odisharia noted.
