Dimitri Khundadze: Healthcare and Social Issues Committee will endorse the State Budget 2021

The Committee convened a working meeting to deliberate the final version of the draft State Budget 2021.
MPs together with the representatives of the executive dwelt on the major financial directions and focused on the funding of health and social programs.
As it was mentioned at the meeting, the funding of the Ministry of Health will increase significantly for the next year and reach 5.5 bln. GEL.
"The final version of the main financial document for 2021 has been submitted to the Parliament. The document is qualitatively different from the version that was previously presented. We introduced the main directions of the draft budget to the new composition of the Committee and the representatives of the relevant agencies introduced reports on the financial document. It should be noted that the funding of the Ministry is significantly increasing to reach 5,563 bln. GEL, which is 711 mln. GEL more compared to the previous version. The draft budget reflects the expenses associated with the pandemic. Of course, due to the pandemic, it is difficult to predict everything, but it is important that the document takes into account all the possible costs that may arise amid this process. We are talking about the management of clinics, as well as the need for additional resources of the Bed Fund and the effective implementation of the vaccination program", - Dimitri Khundadze stated.
As was noted, the Committee will endorse the draft State Budget at the Plenary.
