Dimitri Tskitishvili to attend the CSW 63rd Session in New York

On March 11-19, the member of the Gender Equality Council, Dimitri Tskitishvili attends the 63rd session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and will participate in the high level interactive dialogues and deliver the speech.
He will deliver the speech at March 13 event dedicated to Beijing Declaration and best practice of enforcement.
D. Tskitishvili will speak about the positive changes and achievements of Georgia in gender equality sphere. On March 19, the UN Women hosts the parallel event “Cultural Changes necessary for Elimination of Sexual Abuse” moderated by D. Tksitishvili.
The Georgian Delegation is as well composed of the Deputy Foreign Minister Khatuna Totladze; Deputy IDPs Minister Tamila Barkalaia and the Deputy Public Defender Ekaterine Skhiladze.
The CSW was established in 1946 as a global inter-governmental body to facilitate to gender equality.
The 64th session is scheduled in 2020.
