The Chair of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, Irakli Kadagishvili held the meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine, H.E. Ihor Dolhov to discuss the bilateral relations and the cooperation prospects.

The parties underlined the necessity of enhancement of the Inter-Parliamentary links. In this context, the Ambassador expressed his will to see Mr. Kadagishvili as a member of the Ukraine-Georgia Friendship Group.

The parties touched upon the events dedicated to the 150th jubilee of the famous Ukrainian poet, Lesya Ukrainka scheduled to be held in February in Telavi.

“I informed the Ambassador about our vision and our aspiration to direct the negotiations and every other step taken to make the elected MPs enter the Parliament and be engaged in the Parliamentary activity, especially that all our partner states and including the PACE and other international organizations openly call on them to resume their political lives by the Parliamentary activity”, - I. Kadagishvili stated after the meeting.
