The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Irakli Beraia, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Netherlands to Georgia, H.E. Maaike van Koldam to discuss the current situation in the country in terms of COVID-19 and the steps assumed by the Georgian authorities, October Parliamentary Elections, new electoral system, Georgia’s progress to NATO and EU integration and prospects for strengthening the parliamentary ties.

Irakli Beraia briefed the Ambassador on the grave situation in the occupied territories of Georgia and the destructive steps taken by Russia.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee thanked the Ambassador for his support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, including in international formats.
