Nino Goguadze Elected as First Vice-President of Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional Affairs Committee of PACE
First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nino Goguadze has been elected the First Vice-President of the Committee on Rules, Immunities and Institutional Affairs of the PACE.
“The Committee on Immunities and Institutional Affairs holds important functions in the maintenance of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. It has served as one of the leading committees discussing Russia's return last year, and the issue is still on the Committee's agenda. Therefore, I believe that our representation in this committee and being in the ruling positions will strengthen the position of the Georgian delegation”, - Nino Goguadze commented.
Out of protest for revoking Russia's right to vote and solidarity towards Ukraine, Georgian Delegation did not attend the PACE autumn session.
Although the Georgian Delegation did not participate in the session, active involvement of Georgian side in the PACE committees is yet ensured.
