Sitting of the Bureau

The Bureau discussed the supplemented Plenary Agenda.
Today, the Parliament is to vote on the draft resolution on recognition of credentials of Tea Tsulukiani’s successor, Nino Iobashvili.
MPs shall deliberate with II reading: Bill on Common Courts; Bill on Georgian Citizenship.
The Plenary Agenda also envisages consideration of Draft Constitutional Law, which deals with lowering the threshold to 3% for the 2024 parliamentary elections. According to the regulations, the matter is first referred to the Rules and Procedural Issues Committee in order to set up an organizing commission in the Parliament.
The bureau discussed organizational issues and identified the leading and mandatory committees on the new legislative initiatives.
The annual reports of the State Inspector of Georgia and the Public Defender are submitted to the Parliament, which will then be given in to the Plenary after hearing at the leading committees.
After the bureau session, the deputies moved to the plenary hall.
