The sitting of the Bureau

The Speaker, Archil Talakvadze made the statement noting the importance of the engagement of the opposition in the Parliamentary activity: “As you know, we left our doors open allowing other parties to enter the Parliament, which is the order of our society as evidenced by the recent polls, and a clear recommendation of our international partners. Our society and our partners do not support the politics beyond the Parliament, destabilization and this signal shall serve as a guideline for the opposition political parties. I hope the opposition will revise its attitude as we all witnessed the outcomes of the opinion polls, where the greater part of our society is against the boycott.
It is also important that we encounter the needs to be addressed by the political system – the restoration of the economy, mitigation of poverty, creation of new job opportunities, effective management of the pandemic and vaccination and fulfillment of our international agenda, which requires the whole political system”, - he stated.
The Speaker introduced the plenary agenda of April 13-16, new legislative initiatives and organizational issues.
The agenda is supplemented with those issues considered by the Committees today.
The next Bureau is scheduled on April 13 at 11h30 before the plenary session.
