The Trust Group heard the Head of the State Special Protection Service, Anzor Chubinidze, reporting about the secret activity and special programs undertaken by the SSPS in 2020 and plans for 2021.

After the sitting in camera, the Head of the Trust Group commented to the media: “The Trust Group keeps hearing the annual reports of the agencies within the defense and security sphere. Today, we heard the report by the Head of the State Special Protection Service on secret activity and special programs. It is the part of the activity which is not public yet. We discussed the actions by the Service, measures aiming at the protection of certain persons and facilities, as well as the challenges and capacity building priorities, inter-agency and international cooperation of the Service. We gave a high assessment of the activity of the Service. They also ensure effective protection of the high officials visiting Georgia, which is also valued by our partners”, - the Head of the Group, Irakli Beraia stated.

The sitting was attended by the Group members, Anri Okhanashvili and Alexander Tabatadze.
