Panel Discussion on Bill on Entrepreneurs

The Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Mikheil Sarjveladze and the First Deputy Chair of the Legal Issues Committee, David Matikashvili participated in an online panel discussion organized by the University of Business and Technology to deliberate a new draft law on entrepreneurs.
The First Deputy Chair of the Rules and Procedural Issues Committee, Guram Macharashvili and member of the Education and Science Committee, Mariam Lashkhi also took part in the discussion.
M. Sarjveladze spoke about the importance of the document and noted that the current law, adopted in 1994, does not meet modern challenges.
Work on the new bill began in 2013 and, along with the reform of the entrepreneurial law, provides for compliance with the commitments under the EUAA.
The meeting also highlighted the involvement of students and academic staff in the bill review process.
The meeting was moderated by Zviad Gabisonia, Director of the Center for Business and Technology Research.
