The Committee discussed the draft organic law on Municipal Code with the II reading submitted for the accelerated consideration.

The draft by Giorgi Khojevanishvili, Eka Sepashvili, Nino Latsabidze, Anzor Bolkvadze and Victor Japaridze was introduced by G. Khojevanishvili reporting that the initial version of the draft has been modified after the consultations, resulting in minimization of all the risks that may be related to the adoption of the law.

As to the changes, the Mayor of Municipality (other than Tbilisi Municipality) shall be entitled to, no later than October 1, 2021, make the decision on the basis of the approval of the City Assembly, to change or annul the investment condition and/or mitigate the financial condition for the recipient or the buyer of the municipal property privatized by the auction.
