The Parliamentary Delegation to participate in the PACE Spring Session

The Parliamentary Delegation headed by the Vice-Speaker, Kakha Kutchava participated in the PACE Spring Session on April 19-22 to discuss the global pandemic and vaccination certification, the state of ethnic minorities in the CoE countries, strategic priorities of the CoE and other relevant processes in the world.

The member of the Delegation, Givi Mikanadze will deliver the speech about the rights of the ethnic minorities in Georgia and their integration.

Georgian MPs will hold the meetings simultaneously with the session and Committee sittings. MPs will meet with the Secretary General of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, Andreas Kiefer, as well as the CoE and PACE high officials.

“It is important that the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, and the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, the newly elected President of Moldova will address the attendees. We will hold the debates as well and the CoE Secretary General, as well as the Human Rights Commissioner, Dunja Mijatović will address the assembly. We intend to make emphasis on her visit to Georgia during the year and stress the human rights state on the occupied territories”, - G. Mikanadze stated.

The Parliamentary Delegation is composed of Kakha Kutchava, Mariam Kvrivishvili, Givi Mikanadze, Tamar Taliashvili and Levan Ioseliani.
