The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee determining the new proportional quotas to the Parliamentary bodies

The Committee approved the termination of the credentials ahead of time for the MP, Salome Mujiri on the basis of her personal application to the Parliament.
The Committee submits the respective conclusion to the Bureau for further consideration at the plenary session. The Committee discussed the change of the proportional quotas.
As the Chair, Irakli Kadagishvili elucidated, after the set-up of the new Faction “Lelo – Partnership for Georgia”, the quotas need to be revised deriving from the Rules of Procedure.
As the Committee resolved:
- The Faction “Lelo – Partnership for Georgia” will have one member per all 16 Committees;
- Faction “Lelo – Partnership for Georgia” will have the representatives in the Parliamentary Delegation: One member in the reserve staff of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy; One member in the reserve and one in the main staff of the Assemblée Parlementaire de la Francophonie; One member in the main staff of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Parliament of Georgia, Parliament of Moldova and Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; One member in the main staff of the Parliamentary Assembly of Georgia and Poland.
- The number of members of the Interim Commission of the Restoration of the Territorial Integrity of Georgia and De-occupation increased from 8 to 10. The Faction “Georgian Dream” will have 5 members, the Faction “Lelo – Partnership for Georgia” – 1 member and 4 non-Faction members;
- The number of members of the Interim Commission of the Parliamentary Elections of October 31, 2020, increased from 4 to 6. The Faction “Georgian Dream” will have 3 members, the Faction “Lelo – Partnership for Georgia” – 1 member and 2 non-Faction members;
- The number of members of the Parliamentary Ethics Council remains unchanged. 4 members out of 8 will be nominated by the Faction “Georgian Dream” and 1 by the Faction “Lelo – Partnership for Georgia”, and 3 non-Faction members.
