The First Deputy Chair of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee and the Olympic Champion, Shota Khabareli attended the opening of the Judo Gym in the village Norio, Gardabani municipality.

The Gym is named after the member of the Georgian National Team, three-times European Champion and World Champion, Avtandil Chrikashvili.

Construction stated in September, 2016 within the project with total value of 470 000 GEL. The Gym is equipped with the heating system, water supply and air conditioning. It has the couch’s cabinet, locker rooms and showers, as well as the training room. It will serve for up to 300 children, is of 370 m2 square and can host more than 200 persons of audience.

The opening ceremony was attended by A. Chrikashvili himself, as well as the Sports Minister, Tariel Khechikashvili, Gardabani Governor, Gocha Jamarauli, Chair of the Assembly, Vazha Gengashivli and other municipal authorities.

The event was attended by the Olympic and World Champions in Judo – Zurab Zviadauri, Lasha Shavdatuashvili, Irakli Tsirekidze, Amiran Totikashvili and other invited guests.
