Sophio Katsarava: Eastern Partnership is an important initiative within which Georgia takes merited leading position

The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Sophio Katsarava attended the Warsaw Security Forum and participated in the Panel “Eastern Partnership at 10” dedicated to importance and benefit of EaP for the member states.

According to her, EaP is an effective and result-oriented initiative facilitating Georgia to approximate to the EU. It has an increasing positive effect at member states agenda and brings tangible outcomes to the people.

S. Katsarava dwelt on the progress of Georgia achieved within EaP, upheld reforms, current challenges and expectations. “Eastern Partnership is an important initiative within which Georgia takes merited leading position. Within the discussion, we have summed up the recent outcomes achieved within Eastern Partnership, discussed ongoing issues and touched upon the future expectations and visions. It is paramount that the Eastern Partnership initiative is highly stressed at such a high level conference, serving as yet another opportunity for us to deliver our messages to the international society and at maximal extent approximate our positions with our partners on the priority issues”, - she noted.
