The meeting of Sozar Subari with the Ambassador of Japan

The Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee, Sozar Subari held the meeting with the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Akira Imamura.
The parties discussed the bilateral relations and underlined the potential of economic links, as well as the inter-Parliamentary cooperation. The parties touched upon the domestic and foreign political priorities and overviewed the political situation in the country.
The Ambassador noted the necessity for the political parties to achieve the agreement and continue the reforming in the country. He affirmed the intact support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, in confirmation of which he intends to visit the village Nikozi along the occupation line.
“Japan is a model for the developing countries of achievement of the national consent and economic growth to make the war-affected country one of the greatest and leading economies in the world. We undertake the infrastructural, educational, healthcare, environmental, agricultural, regional development and other projects for years backed by the Government of Japan. As the Ambassador noted, they cherish the plans to invest in Georgia in the energy sphere, which is crucial for our country”, - S. Subari stated.
