The sitting of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee

The Committee got cognizant of the conclusion by the National Council of the Youth Organizations of Georgia on the challenges and needs of NCYOG.

According to the Chair of the Committee, Mikheil Kavelashvili, the youth-related challenges is one of the priorities of the Committee and thus, the Committee collaborates with all organizations concerned to create the conditions for the youth allowing them to realize their ideas and visions. And the youth concept was developed by the Committee in cooperation with the parties concerned.

The conclusion was introduced by the NCYOG administrator, Nino Tsulaia and the researcher, Salome Dolidze in the form of a presentation. According to them, the survey covered all ten regions of Georgia and included 76 youth organizations speaking about their problems, namely the financial and human resource challenges, lack of competence, working area problem, youth policy challenges, absence of the profession for the youth etc.

The reporters also introduced the detailed analysis and findings for addressing the problems noting that the survey will allow the Committee in the development of the youth concept plan.

MPs expressed their positions.

The Chair thanked the reporters for interesting information and noted that the Committee is committed to cooperating with all parties concerned.
