Tamar Khulordava: Meeting with the EU Ambassador, we reaffirmed the full support of Independent MPs for the agreement reached between the opposition and the ruling party

Independent Members of Parliament: Tamar Khulordava, Irina Pruidze, Dimitri Tskitishvili and Zaza Khutsishvili met with the EU Ambassador, H.E. Carl Hartzell to discuss the agreement reached between the ruling party and the opposition.

“The EU ambassador suggested us as Independent MPs to join this very important agreement, as we, as MPs, will have to vote for the constitutional amendments. Meeting with the EU Ambassador, we reaffirmed the full support of Independent MPs for the agreement reached between the opposition and the ruling party and thanked the diplomat for his contribution in reaching the agreement", - T. Khulordava remarked post hoc the meeting.

Tamar Khulordava hopes that despite the current situation in the country due to coronavirus, the constitutional amendments envisaged by the agreement will be adopted by the Parliament - “Everyone's attention is focused on coronavirus. This is a very important issue that concerns our society, but we shall not forget the very important political goals and objectives that are on our agenda, and this is especially true of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections. It is necessary to bring the agreement to a fruition with the constitutional amendments”, - the independent MP remarked.
