The meeting of the Faction “Our Georgia – Independent MPs” with the German Ambassador

The Faction Faction “Our Georgia – Independent MPs” held the meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany, H.E. Hubert Knirsch to stress the upheld Parliamentary elections and the political developments henceforth.
“We informed the Ambassador about the violations detected on the E-Day, which are generally resonant. We also introduced our position that our Party protests against the election results, however, refuses to join the protest rally. We believe that alternative ways other than the rally shall be found for the solution of the situation. The diplomatic corps is expected to play the active role in the estimation of the processes and offering the solution”, - the Chair of the Faction, Mariam Jashi stated after the meeting.
According to her, the disorder and civil confrontation are the problems that Georgia needs the lest, while the protest expressed by various political groups shall be free of violence.
The activity of the CEC shall receive the impartial estimation and in a real manner determine the responsibilities and achieve the agreement either on re-counting the votes or on re-elections with more observers and newer instruments to ensure the protection of the votes.
As she noted, the diplomats hail their position about the protest in the form of dialogue instead of assembling at the rallies. The parties expressed their commitment to further cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the Faction members: Levan Gogichaishvili, Beka Natsvlishvili and Gedevan Popkhadze.
