Lagodekhhi and Kvareli Single Mandate MP and the member of the Faction “Georgian Dream – for Development of the Regions”, Guram Macharashvili initiated the meeting of Lagodekhi Municipality City Assembly members in the Parliament to meet with the Vice Speaker, Zviad Dzidziguri, Majority Leader, Archil Talakvadze and the Chairs of the Committees.

The meetings were dedicated to novelties and challenges in self-government.

“Against the state arrangement of our country, the role of the strong municipalities is paramount as in terms of solution of local issues, so in enhancement of the state in general”, - Z. Dzidziguri noted.

Lagodekhi City Assembly members named increased local budget as one of the challenges which will allow them effectively solving the local problems.

A. Talakvadze spoke about importance of the dialogue between the central and local authorities and expressed commitment for communication.

“This format will facilitate enhanced coordination between the legislative and local authorities and guarantee even more effective and rapid solution of the local problems”.

The meeting was as well held with the Chair of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee, Mikheil Kavelashvili to discuss complex action plan for promotion of healthy lifestyle.

At the meeting with the Chair of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, Giorgi Kakhiani, the parties underlined necessity of the legal regulations for acceleration of standardization of the pre-school institutions.
