The video meeting of Roman Kakulia with the EU Ambassador

The Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Roman Kakulia held the remote meeting with the EU Ambassador, Carl Hartzell to discuss the cooperation prospects with the EU in the post-crisis period.
The special emphasis was made on the EU aid segment serving for micro-financial stability, and the integration in the sectors such are transport, energy, agriculture and vocational education.
As noted, against the current challenges, the joint efforts are required to ensure uninterrupted reforms in the economic spheres, such is energy, namely the energy-efficiency reforms, transport directions, traffic safety, waste management and the consumers’ rights.
The parties discussed the Black Sea related challenges and the cooperation with the EU in this context, as well as the importance of facilitation of the trade relations within the Black Sea basin.
“These issues have been emphasized due to the circumstances that against the financial challenges, the financial and human resources can be hard to mobilize for successful reforming. Thus, we underlined importance of the EU intact support in transformation processes”, - R. Kakulia noted.
