Akaki Zoidze and Levan Koberidze participated in the Parliamentary Workshop in Paris

The Chair of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, Akaki Zoidze and the Deputy Chair, Levan Koberidze participated in the Parliamentary workshop “Employment, Training and Equal Opportunities: How to Ensure Fair Treatment and Involvement for All” organized by the Sub-Committee of the European Social Charter of CoE on October 27 in Paris.
The delegates discussed the social issues and employment state in CoE member states and the final conclusion of the Social Affairs Committee.
The Conclusion provides violations of the Social Charter in CoE member states in 2016. Georgian MPs introduced the social rights, social issues and employment state in Georgia. They also participated in the discussion on rights on equal opportunities for men and women for vocational training.
“The issues we discussed are relevant in Georgia. It is particularly important for our Committee to share experience of CoE member states and to develop the balanced model to fit Georgian reality. The Committee actively cooperates with the Government and all target groups”, - A. Zoidze stated.
The European Social Charter is the Agreement signed on October 18, 1961 in Torino. The signatory CoE member states agreed to ensure social rights for their population to improve quality of life and social welfare. Georgia accessed to the Charter on July 1, 2005.
