Genadi Margvelashvili: the youth shall be conscious of aspects of life of those great scientists who founded our Alma Mater – Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University

The Chair of the Education, Science and Culture Committee, Genadi Margvelashvili delivered a speech at the event in Tbilisi State University dedicated to the presentation of the book “Ivane Beritashvili – another attempt / unknown stories on well-known scientist” published after 135 anniversary of one of the founders of Tbilisi State University, world-renowned physiologist and famous scientist, Ivane Beritashvili.

The authors of the book are Nino Kakulia and Merab Tsagareli. Today’s event opened the One Week Anniversary at Tbilisi State University.

“Such publications are very important to the public. The youth in particular shall be conscious of aspects of life of these great scientists who founded out Alma Mater – Tbilisi State University. In the early 20th century there was an explosion of talent. We had very influential scientists in all directions. Each of them deserves to be published a book and shot a film as well. It will help to further promote their names to the youth. There is no alternative to revitalizing and forwarding these examples for the future of our country”, - G. Margvelashvili delivered.
