Genadi Margvelashvili: We need to allow the youth expressing their positions and views, to allow them better demonstrating their talents and skills

The Chair of the Education, Science and Culture Committee, Genadi Margvelashvili attended the opening ceremony of the Exhibition of the Creative Studio by the Professor of the Academy of Arts, Giorgi Gegechkori in Tbilisi Art Palace and delivered the speech: “We are owners of Kintsvisi Church, Svetitskhoveli, “You are the Vine” and Georgian dances and it is our identity that raises interest of Europe. We cannot share European values while forgetting ours”, - he noted.

The new national education plan shall include the component of identification of the talents and their realization not only in the direction of arts but in sports, technologies, humanitarian and other directions.

“It will ensure improvement of Georgian mentality. Identification of the talented children shall be ensured in a timely manner and we shall allow the youth expressing their positions and views, to allow them better demonstrating their talents and skills”, - he added stressing importance of employment of the youth.

“Education is followed by employment and then the dignified pension. Thus, GDP growth shall be connected to employment of the youth”.

The exhibition exposed the works by Giorgi Gegechkori, Tamar Minashvili, Tornike Tekmaladze and Natalia Lashkhi based on the motives of “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin”, and battle scenes and general historic data related to Vakhtang Gorgasali.
