Meeting of Ilia Nakashidze with Representative Delegation of Tajikistan
The Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Ilia Nakashidze hosted the Vice Minister of Justice Mrs Nodiri Shahnoza and her accompanying delegation.
The members of the Delegation, composed of representatives of the Administration of the President of Tajikistan, the legislative and executive authorities, expressed their particular interest in the legislative basis of the Ministry of Justice and the House of Justice in Georgia and got cognizant with the legal and normative acts related to the field of their activities.
“We introduced our colleagues to the legislative framework that regulates the activities of the Ministry of Justice and the House of Justice. As was highlighted at the meeting, Tajikistan is elaborating on the creation of similar services and Georgia's experience and knowledge lies within their interest. We also touched upon the prospects of future cooperation between the two countries and stressed the importance of launching diplomatic representation. Strengthening of economic cooperation, promotion of tourism, direct air traffic and activation of inter-parliamentary relations that will significantly facilitate to cooperation between the two countries were foregrounded during the discussion", - Ilia Nakashidze noted.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the First Deputy Chair of the Legal Issues Committee, David Matikashvili, Georgian MPs briefed Tajik guests on the political course chosen by the state to solve the problems related to occupation and informed them about the social, educational and health programs scheduled in this regard.
