The Chair of the Interim Commission on Restoration of Territorial Integrity and De-occupation, Irakli Beraia held the meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hubert Knirsch.

The Chair of the Commission expressed gratitude toward the German diplomat for supporting Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Irakli Beraia briefed the Ambassador on the main directions and goals of the Commission and dwelt upon the current situation in the occupied territories and the occupation line.

“Along with the involvement of German donor organizations in the funding of various projects within the Peace-keeping Initiative, it is important that the Federal Republic of Germany continues to promote the issue of observance of the ceasefire agreement between Georgia and Russia on the occupied territories of Georgia", - Irakli Beraia stated while the meeting with the Ambassador.
