Meeting of Salome Samadashvili with the NATO PA President

The Deputy Chair of the Faction “National Movement”, Salome Samadashvili held a meeting with the NATO PA President, Madeleine Moon.
"Our conversation touched upon Georgia's future in NATO", - Salome Samadashvili reported while commenting on the meeting. According to her, they discussed the challenges and opportunities that Georgia is currently facing at.
“We discussed the possible threats that may hinder the country’s pace to NATO and paid particular attention to the challenges that Georgia is currently facing in terms of democracy, because as you know, NATO is a union of democratic states and our partners stand out as very important constituents in these processes, including those taking place in Georgia. We expressed our concern that the current government is threatening the future of our country with NATO by its own policy and considered the current statements made regarding the territorial integrity and NATO integration of the country”, - the Deputy Chair of the Faction noted.
According to her, one of the objectives of the meeting was Russian propaganda and the related threats.
